BSNL: BSNL is eager to provide good service in all circles, Chairman’s letter. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL has risen to the challenge of making a comeback in the telecom world after the business drought of the past few years. The government-owned company is now determined to build a successful business. So the company has decided to take strict action against those circles which are not performing well at present. It may be noted that lately more than 13 telecom circles have been traced, where BSNL has noticed a significant shortfall in revenue. Hence, the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the state-owned telecom company, PK Purwar, recently wrote to the Chief General Managers (CGMs) of all these circles and directed them to immediately take appropriate steps to improve the financial performance of the areas.

BSNL will no longer tolerate non-performing circles

According to the report of Financial Express, three circles have come in the critical negative category, five circles in the significantly negative category, and five circles in the borderline negative category in the last year. In that case, these circles should be turned around immediately for the business development of the telecom company in the coming days, at least that is what the CGMs of the circles have been instructed to do in the stern letters written by Purwar.

Despite receiving government grants, why this plight? BSNL must be held accountable in this regard

The report also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently approved a Rs 1.64 lakh crore revival scheme for BSNL. Also, the organization has promised to provide various types of assistance. It is to be noted that recently the Union Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan said that Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will definitely gain net profit by the year 2027 due to this revival project. Apart from this, between 2019 and 2022, the central government provided two more relief packages to BSNL. But despite all this, BSNL must be accountable to the Center as to why the company is not able to provide high-quality telecom services to the citizens of Apam, said Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav.

Vaishnav also said that the government is helping the company as much as possible so that BSNL can make a comeback in the telecom world by competing with private companies. But still, since the company is not able to provide proper service to the customers, the center has to take strict action now. According to him, if it is found that any employee of the company is not working well in the coming days, then he will be expelled from the company immediately. In other words, it is needless to say that BSNL and the Center have become joint initiatives to revive the state-owned telecom company.

BSNL to launch 4G in India in the second half of 2023

Although private telecom companies have already launched 5G in the country, BSNL is yet to launch 4G despite many attempts. However, according to current reports, the state-owned telecom company plans to launch 4G in India in the second half of this year. Note that BSNL is taking the help of Tata Consultancy Services or TCS and the Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) to launch 4G across the country depending on indigenous technology. It is also heard that BSNL’s 5G will likely be launched next year only after 4G is launched in 2023. Let’s say in this context, earlier, multiple dates of the company’s 4G rollout have been published, but each time it has been delayed due to various reasons. In that case, only time can tell whether the plan of the state-owned telecom company will be implemented or not.
