Motorola is preparing to introduce its budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G14, to the Indian market on August 1. The smartphone will showcase a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with a hole-punch cutout at the center. It is slated to run on Android 13, with a confirmed promise from Motorola for an Android 14 upgrade and three years of security updates.

Under the hood, the Moto G14 will be powered by the Unisoc T616 processor, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 1TB using a microSD slot, and it utilizes the UFS2.2 storage type.


As for the camera capabilities, the device houses a dual rear camera setup, spearheaded by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. Additionally, the Moto G14 is designed with an IP52 rating, offering dust and water resistance. Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face recognition.

A substantial 5,000mAh battery powers the Moto G14, and it supports 20W TurboPower charging. According to Motorola’s claims, the battery is expected to provide up to 34 hours of talk time, around 94 hours of music playback, and up to 16 hours of video playback on a single charge. Furthermore, the phone comes equipped with stereo speakers, enhanced by Dolby Atmos sound technology.

Although the official price for the Moto G14 is yet to be disclosed, it is speculated to fall within the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 11,000 in India. This estimate is based on the previous launch of the Moto G13 in India, which was priced at Rs 9,999 a few months ago.
