The main reason is that it facilitates easy movement on congested roads as there is no rush to change gears. But the more stylish motorcycles still hold the hearts of most of the younger generation. Again there is a trend of diversity in bike choice in this country. For example, road warriors and adventure models are on the rise these days. As always, Hero MotoCorp has taken the top spot. Bike sales are two and a half times higher than old partner Honda). In January this year, 3,26,467 Hero motorcycles found their way into the garages of new customers. Sales were down 3% compared to the same period in 2022 (3,36,673).
Bajaj Auto is second on the list. The company managed to hand over motorcycle keys to a total of 1,38,860 customers in the previous month. Meanwhile, sales rose 3.4% to 1,34,228 in the same period a year ago.
Honda (Honda) has come third in the list in terms of highest motorcycle sales in January. Last month the company managed to sell a total of 1,27,912 bikes. Sales were down 8.2% from 1,39,384 in the same period last year.
Hosur, Tamil Nadu-based two-wheeler brand TVS (TVS) grabbed the fourth spot in the list. In the previous month, the Apache manufacturer was able to hand over the keys to the motorcycle to a total of 79,394 buyers. Whereas the sales volume in January last year was 57,810 units, which is 37.3 percent higher than the sales of the previous month.
Royal Enfield grabbed the fifth spot in the list of India’s best-selling motorcycle companies last month. In January, the company saw a total of 67,702 new customers. In comparison, sales in the first month of 2022 were 49,726 units. Resulting in 36.1% year-on-year growth.
