Know how to check your PAN card online with the Aadhaar link
Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in/).
Step 2: Click on “Aadhaar Services” and select “Aadhaar Linking Status”.
Step 3: Now enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and click on “Get Status”.
Step 4: Enter your PAN card number and captcha code for security verification.
Step 5: Click on “Get Linking Status” to know the status of your Aadhaar-PAN linking.
Step 6: Whether your Aadhaar and PAN card is linked or not, will be displayed on the screen.
Note, you can also check your Aadhaar and PAN card linking status on the NSDL e-governance website (https://www.nsdl.com/).
How to check whether Aadhaar is linked with a PAN card via SMS?
Step 1: Go to the SMS box and type UIDPAN.
Step 2: Then enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number with spaces.
Step 3: Then enter your 10-digit PAN number with spaces.
That is, your SMS should look like this:
UIDPAN 12 digit Aadhaar number 10 digit PAN number
Step 4: Now send this SMS to 567678 or 56161.
Step 5: Now wait for the response from the mentioned service.
Step 6: If your PAN is linked with your Aadhaar, you will get a message, which reads – “Aadhaar… is already linked with PAN (number) in ITD database. Thank you for using our services.” (In other words, your Aadhaar card is already linked with PAN card in ITD database. Thank you for using our services)
Step 7: Again if your Aadhaar card is not linked with your PAN card, the message you will get will read – “Aadhaar… not linked to PAN (number) in ITD database.” (ie, your aadhaar card is not linked with pan card in ITD database).
