16 candidates from J&K cleared the UPSC Civil Services exam

 

Pubnews: 16 candidates from J&K cleared the UPSC Civil Services exam. Sixteen candidates from Jammu and Kashmir have successfully made it to the selection list of the UPSC Civil Services Examination this year, according to the recent announcement by UPSC.A total of 933 candidates, including 320 women and 613 men, have been declared successful in the examination. These candidates will now be recommended to the Government of India for various civil services positions, such as IAS, IFS, IPS, IRS, and more.

Among the candidates from Jammu and Kashmir, Wasim Ahmad Bhat from the Dooru area of Anantnag district has achieved an impressive 7th rank. It is noteworthy that Bhat’s performance this year has shown a significant improvement compared to his previous ranking of 225 in 2021. Bhat, who is 25 years old, completed his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar.

Other successful candidates from Jammu and Kashmir include Parsenjit Kaur from Poonch district, who secured the 11th rank, as well as Nitin Singh (Rank 32), Naveed Ahsan Bhat (Rank 84), Ambika Raina (Rank 164), Navneet Singh (Rank 191), Manan Bhat (Rank 231), Arjun Gupta (Rank 228), Manil Bejotra (Rank 314), Dwarika Gandhi (Rank 505), Irfan Chowdhary (Rank 476), Anjit Singh (Rank 565), Abhinandan Singh (Rank 749), Nimranshu Hans (Rank 811), Iram Chowdhary (Rank 852), and Adesh Basnotra (Rank 888). All of them have been included in the final selection list.
