pubnews: Mahindra simultaneously revealed five electric SUV cars, when will the launch be? Mahindra introduced the world with the much-awaited five electric cars on August 15, India’s 76th Independence Day. Each of the cars has been unveiled at the company’s design center in Britain. All five models are based on the brand new INGLO EV skateboard platform. These will be sold under the company’s two subbrands XUV.e and BE. Under XUV.e are the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 model pairs. On the other hand, the models under BE subbrand are BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. According to company sources, the XUV.e range of cars will be launched in the market first. The XUV.e8 will be launched in 2024 as Mahindra’s first electric SUV. On the other hand, the first model of the BE will debut in October 2025.
Mahindra BE.05
The BE.05 is a coupe-SUV, which will go into production from October 2025. The car has been called Sports Electric Vehicle or SEV. It goes without saying that buyers will fall in love with the aggressive front design. The front features angular ‘C’ shaped headlights and large air dams. The sides have a rugged look, with large wheels, and squared-off wheel arches. The rear of the BE.05 also features ‘C’ shaped taillamps and a strikingly designed bumper.
The BE.05’s cabin features large twin touchscreens and a two-spoke steering wheel. The car measures 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The over 4-meter-long vehicle is expected to slot above the XUV400 in Mahindra’s EV lineup. Mahindra is bringing the car to compete with the Tata Curvv which is expected to arrive in 2024.
Mahindra BE.07
Mahindra will launch the production version of their BE.07 electric car in October 2026. It has got a traditional SUV design. It also gets ‘C’ shaped headlights and taillights. But its angular BE is less than .05. Again, the design of the two sides of the SUV does not have as much ‘edge’ as the coupe model. But it also has big wheels.
The car has a giant screen in the cabin. This screen spans the entire dashboard. The interior of the BE.07 also features a large panoramic sunroof. Instead of touch, it may feature full physical controls. The car measures 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,660 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. This mid-sized SUV can be positioned between Hyundai Creta and Mahindra XUV 700.
Mahindra BE.09
The latest electric model in the BE range is the BE.09. It is a coupe-SUV like the BE.05. However, Mahindra has not revealed the dimensions of this car. Judging from the picture, it is assumed to be the coupe version of the BE.07. At the top of the BE lineup could be the BE.09. The design of the front and coupe models is more prominent in the BE.05. Mahindra says it is a four-seater.

Mahindra XUV.e8
At the beginning of the report, it was stated that the XUV.e8 will enter the market in 2024 as Mahindra’s first electric SUV. The car measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,760 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,762 mm. It is based on the company’s conventionally fueled flagship SUV XUV700. It will appear with the All Wheel Drive (AWD) system.
Mahindra XUV.e9
Mahindra XUV.e9 will hit the market in 2025. It measures 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, 1,690 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. Although it is an SUV model, its roofline design is inspired by the coupe version. Visually, the XUV.e9 shares similarities with the Mahindra XUV500 Aero concept unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo. But the XUV700’s design has been tweaked up to the B-Pillar. It will come in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) system options.
