It is not possible to say anything about the powertrain of the electric car right now. However, reports suggest that the Maruti WagonR Electric may be offered with a 72-volt electric drive and a 10.25 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It is also heard that the range of the car can be around 180 km on a full charge.

However, the company has not yet confirmed whether the car will be launched in India at all. Maruti Suzuki will manufacture electric cars for this country at the company’s Gujarat factory. They are also planning to build two new factories at Kharkhoda in Sonepat, Haryana. It is said that 11,000 crore rupees will be invested first for this. The two factories will be inaugurated in 2025 and 2026. About the upcoming electric cars, the company said, the price of their models may cross 10 lakh rupees.
