Audi Q3 Sportback SUV: Audi launched their new audi q3 sportback suv. In the third week of February, several major automakers announced new launches and updates. The most notable release was from German auto giant Audi, which debuted the Q3 Sportback coupe SUV in India. The Q3 Sportback is the first coupe SUV in its segment and has no direct rivals for now.
The Q3 Sportback is available only in the top-spec Technology trim, priced at Rs 51.43 lakh (ex-showroom, India). It is almost Rs 1 lakh more expensive than the standard Q3 SUV, which currently retails between Rs 44.89 lakh and Rs 50.39 lakh. Audi has already opened bookings for the coupe SUV at a token amount of Rs 2 lakh
Audi Q3 Sportback features
Audi Q3 Sportback features unique design elements compared to the standard Q3 SUV. It comes with the S-Line styling pack as standard, featuring a larger hexagonal grille with a honeycomb pattern and sharper, more triangular-shaped air intakes with a silver finish. The Q3 Sportback also sports a sharply raked roofline and 10-spoke, 18-inch alloys.

In terms of dimensions, the Q3 Sportback is 36mm longer, 6mm narrower, and 49mm shorter than the Q3 SUV. It measures 4,518 mm in length, 1,843 mm in width, and 1,558 mm in height. Audi is offering the Sportback in five color options – Turbo Blue, Glacier White, Kronos Grey, Mythos Black, and Navara Blue.
Inside, the Q3 Sportback has the same layout as the Q3 SUV. It gets the same 10.1-inch touchscreen and Audi’s Virtual Cockpit all-digital instrument cluster. Audi is offering two interior upholstery color options on the Q3 Sportback – Okapi Brown and Pearl Beige.
The Q3 Sportback is well-equipped, featuring a 10-speaker audio system, wireless charger, 30-color ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. Its main safety features include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. However, like the Q3 SUV, the Sportback lacks ADAS features.
Both the Q3 Sportback and the Q3 SUV share the same powertrain – a 190hp, 320Nm 2.0-liter turbo-petrol mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. With power sent to all four wheels, the coupe SUV can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 220kph.
Audi Q3 SUV Price
Audi is offering a limited-time 5-year extended warranty on the Q3 Sportback, which also includes Roadside Assistance (RSA). Customers can choose to extend their warranty up to 7 years and RSA up to 10 years. The Q3 Sportback currently has no direct competitors, as there are no other entry-level coupe SUVs on the market. The closest coupe SUV is the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe (Rs 72.50 lakh), which is a segment higher.
Apart from Audi’s Q3 Sportback, Brabus has unveiled a luxury superbike in collaboration with KTM. Named the 500 R, the bike features a custom paint job and a host of performance upgrades. Brabus has increased the bike’s power output from 73hp to 100hp, with a top speed of 219kph.
In other news, Tata Motors has announced that it has received an order for 15 hydrogen fuel cell buses from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The buses will be manufactured by Tata Motors and will be used in New Delhi as part of a pilot project. This move is expected.
