If all goes according to plan, this innovative two-wheeler could hit the Indian market within the next 6 to 12 months. Prototypes are already in existence, and this bike is expected to feature a 110cc engine. Initial production is slated to take place at the company’s Aurangabad facility, followed by production at the Pant Nagar facility.

The name “Platina” is under consideration for this CNG bike, although Bajaj Auto’s Executive Director, Rakesh Sharma, has not disclosed specific details. He did, however, express Bajaj’s commitment to expanding its “clean fuels” portfolio, which encompasses various environmentally friendly options, such as electric vehicles (EVs), ethanol, LPG, and CNG.

In a recent interview with a leading channel, Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director, Rajiv Bajaj, hinted at the potential impact of CNG motorcycles, stating, “Who knows, maybe a CNG Bajaj motorcycle can significantly reduce the cost of ownership for riders.” He suggested that CNG motorcycles have the potential to make the 100-110cc segment an affordable and accessible choice for Indian consumers.
