Mahindra aims to capture the foreign market with cars with the latest technology. Every organization aspires to achieve business prosperity, and Mahindra, India’s ‘SUV specialist,’ is no exception. In pursuit of this goal, the domestic giant is shifting its focus to the international market, aiming to triple its revenue from car sales across diverse global markets in the coming years.

Expanding Horizons: Mahindra’s Global Vision
Rajesh Jejurikar, the Chief Executive Officer and Director (Automotive and Farm Equipment) of Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the company’s aggressive development of new products for the global market. Their mission is to make these offerings not only advanced but also affordable. Mahindra is confident that its technologically modern cars are well-equipped to thrive in the fiercely competitive global automotive landscape.
Commercial Success in International Markets
South Africa stands out as one of Mahindra’s significant success stories in the international arena, boasting a dedicated factory. The models making waves in the country include the XUV300 subcompact SUV, XUV700 SUV, Scorpio N, various pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles. Mahindra’s global footprint extends to 30 countries, encompassing regions such as Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand, and Australia.
Inroads into Latin America and the European Market
Mahindra also caters to Latin American countries with left-hand drive models. Excitingly, they are gearing up to enter the European market by 2024 with their Born Electric range. Notably, Mahindra unveiled concept models under this sub-brand, featuring the BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. Additionally, the XUV.e sub-brand includes models like the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9.
The electric vehicles in their lineup are built on Mahindra’s modular INGLO platform, with some elements drawn from the Volkswagen MEB architecture. Of particular interest is the XUV.e8, which represents Mahindra’s first foray into electric vehicles under the XUV.e sub-brand. This all-electric SUV will sport a 60-80 kWh battery and a 175 kW fast-charging electric motor, capable of reaching an 80% charge in just 30 minutes with a rapid charger. Features include advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), immersive three-dimensional in-car audio systems, and a host of other cutting-edge technologies.
In a dynamic automotive landscape, Mahindra is primed to make its mark on the global stage, offering innovative, sustainable, and advanced vehicles to customers worldwide.
