The latest car from the legendary carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra, the Scorpio-N has broken the XUV700’s record in terms of bookings. In fact, Mahindra & Mahindra started booking for Scorpio-N from Saturday. Within 30 minutes of the opening of bookings at 11:00 am, 100,000 bookings were registered for the Scorpio-N, which translates to an ex-showroom price of Rs 18,000 crore. Earlier, the XUV700 held the record for the highest number of bookings, registering 100,000 units within 57 minutes of accepting bookings on October 21.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Booking Process

The bookings for Mahindra Scorpio-N have started from July 30, 11 AM. All the customers can book the vehicle both online and offline. To book the Scorpio M online, you need to visit the official website of Mahindra. Apart from this, if you want to book Scorpion offline, then you have to visit your nearest Mahindra agency. Explain that the booking amount for all variants will be Rs 21,000. Customers can edit their booked variant and color choice till August 15 at midnight. The version selected by August 15 will be treated as the last booking without bearing the benefit of early pricing for the first 25,000 bookings.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Delivery

Mahindra will start deliveries of the Mahindra Scorpio-N from September 26 for its customers during the upcoming festive season. Over 20,000 units of the Scorpio-N are planned for an initial rollout by December 2022. The production priority of the Z8L variant has been given to match the expectations of the customers.

Mahindra Scorpio-N will be 4,662 mm in length, 1,917 mm in width, and 1,849 mm in length. Let us tell you that it has been launched with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Mahindra Scorpio-N also comes with tech-rich features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, built-in Alexa, Sony’s premium 3D sound system, steering mounted controls, dual-zone climate control, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, air-conditioning, and more. Mahindra Scorpio-N Powertrain

The Mahindra Scorpio-N is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and another 2.2-liter, four-cylinder, diesel engine with options of manual and automatic transmissions. . The petrol unit produces 203 PS and 370Nm of torque in the manual variant and 380Nm in the automatic trim. The diesel engine, on the other hand, will make 132 PS and 300 Nm of torque in the lower state and 175 PS and 370Nm (manual) / 400Nm (automatic) torque at the bottom. It should be noted that only a 6-speed MT and RWD configuration will be available in the SUV with less tune.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Price

The price of Mahindra Scorpio-N starts at Rs 11.99 lakh for the entry trim and goes up to Rs 21.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant. The Scorpio-N 4WD variant will be available at a starting price of Rs 2.5 lakhs as compared to its 2WD variant. 4WD will be available only in the Z4, Z8, and Z8L diesel variants. Significantly, according to media reports, the top-spec variant of the Scorpio-N will cost more than Rs 30 lakh in some cities like Kochi in Kerala.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, the company said that the deliveries of the 2022 Scorpio-N will start from September 26, 2022, and it plans to deliver around 20,000 units of the SUV by the end of 2022, with the Z8L trim being preferred. Mahindra also said that it will inform the customers about the delivery date by the end of August 2022. The new Scorpio-N will be available in five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8 Luxury. The new Scorpio-N will not have a direct rival in this segment as no other body-on-frame SUV is available in India. However, in terms of performance and pricing, this new SUV will take on the likes of Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and MG Hector.
