This train’s fast speed and comfortable journey have generated a growing craze among the youth, with 56 percent of young and working individuals, both men and women, favoring this mode of transportation.

However, Vande Bharat Express isn’t just for the younger generation. A surprising 12.5 percent of passengers above 60 years of age are also choosing to travel on this train that traverses the country. The train’s popularity is such that it is now outpacing even the renowned Shatabdi train.

This shift in preference is not without reason. Railway sources report that the introduction of Vande Bharat Express has led to a substantial decrease in airfares on popular routes like Chennai-Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod, Mumbai-Pune, Jamnagar-Ahmedabad, and Delhi-Jaipur, ranging from 20 to 30 percent.

In addition to cheaper airfares, passengers are also increasingly choosing Vande Bharat Express to avoid the hassle of long road journeys. For instance, the train takes just 5 hours to reach Renigunta from Vijayawada, whereas the same journey by road takes over 7 hours. It’s clear that Vande Bharat Express is the preferred choice for travelers of all age groups looking for a convenient and cost-effective way to reach their destinations.
