WhatsApp Launched new Feature: WhatsApp comes with new Status Updates with Avatars. WhatsApp is renowned for continually introducing both significant and minor updates to enhance user experience.
Over the past few weeks, the popular instant messaging platform has rolled out a plethora of new features, including a revamped keyboard design, chat locking, a fresh user interface, and the introduction of channels, among others. Just in time for the upcoming festive season, WhatsApp has unveiled a novel feature to facilitate more engaging interactions among users and their friends and family.
WhatsApp Launched New Feature
This latest addition centers on status updates, allowing for more expressive responses. As reported by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp’s new feature enables users to respond to status updates by utilizing avatars.
Respond to WhatsApp Status Updates with Avatars
The ability to respond to status updates using avatars is already available in the beta versions of WhatsApp for both iOS and Android. Consequently, select WhatsApp users now have the ability to reply to someone’s status by employing animated representations of themselves. According to the company, this innovation serves as a unique alternative to the conventional use of emojis, GIFs, and stickers for responding to status updates, thereby enhancing the overall chatting experience.
It’s worth noting that WhatsApp recently introduced a fresh interface in its Android beta, replacing the traditional green bar with a white one. However, this interface modification was abruptly rescinded.
Service Discontinuation Alert
WhatsApp has already issued a notification regarding the discontinuation of service support for certain Android and iPhone devices. As of October 24, which is just a week away, the popular messaging platform will no longer function on some older smartphone models. This move marks a significant change in WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to improve and streamline its service.
