Greaves Electric Mobility has joined the race to launch electric two-wheelers in the Indian market with its latest offering, the stylishly designed Ampere Zeal EX. The model targets the younger generation who prefer comfortable urban commuting. It is available in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand at an ex-showroom price of Rs 69,900. However, customers in other states and Union Territories of India will have to pay Rs 75,000 for the e-scooter. As a promotional offer, Ampere is offering an extra benefit of Rs 6,000 on this model, which is valid till March 31.
Zeal EX comes with a sporty design, dual color tones, and various riding modes. The manufacturer claims that the e-scooter can cover a distance of up to 120 km on a single charge thanks to the 2.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. It has a 1.8 kW motor with a top speed of 55 mph. The e-scooter battery takes five hours to fully charge. Customers can choose from three color options: Stone Grey, Ivory White, and Indigo Blue.

According to Sanjay Bahl, Chief Executive Officer, of Greaves Electric Mobility, “This scooter has been launched for the daily commute of the young generation of India. It will offer attractive features, comfortable riding, good performance, and optimum safety.” The company has launched another modern electric scooter called “Almost First”. The high-speed model is priced at Rs 1,09,900 (ex-showroom) in the Indian market.
