The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has officially begun the WBJEE Counseling Registration for 2023 on 20th July. This registration process is exclusively for candidates aspiring to pursue the B.Tech program in engineering institutes within the state of West Bengal. Out of the 1,01,000 candidates who appeared for the WBJEE this year, approximately 97,000 candidates have been ranked. Eligible candidates can register for counseling by visiting the official website wbjeeb.nic.in after the WBJEE registration link becomes active.
The WBJEE counseling process encompasses several stages, including registration, choice filling, seat assignment, and seat acceptance. Only those applicants who have qualified for WBJEE 2023 are eligible to participate in the counseling process. The deadline for online registration and choice filling is set for July 25th, and candidates can modify their selections until July 28th. On July 27th, a mock seat allotment will be conducted based on candidates’ preferences, while the final seat allotment results will be announced on August 1st. Throughout the counseling process, WBJEEB will provide the starting and ending ranks for each round of seat allocation.
To initiate the WBJEE 2023 counseling registration, follow these simple steps:
1. Visit the official WBJEE counseling website www.wbjeeb.nic.in
2. Click on the registration link for WBJEE counseling.
3. If you are a new candidate, choose “New Candidate Registration” and specify whether you are using WBJEE, JEE Main, or both for admission.
4. Provide your application number, roll number, name, and date of birth for WBJEE registration.
5. If you are also using JEE Main 2023, enter your unique application number, roll number, name, and date of birth accordingly.
6. If you are utilizing both channels, enter the necessary information for both exams.
7. Finally, click on “Submit” to complete the WBJEE 2023 registration process.
It is essential to note that all candidates are required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 500 for Round 1 of the online counseling process through the WBJEEB website. During the registration, applicants must exercise caution as, according to the board’s notification, there is no provision for any modification or editing after the final submission of the registration.
